Presentation Types
- Individual paper – Each paper will be allocated 20 mins, which includes time for the paper presentation and questions or discussion. Papers will be grouped into sessions according to common themes or ideas by Special Interest Group (SIG) Convenors. The standard length for grouped papers will be 1 hour for 3 papers. Please note, some individual paper submissions may be programmed to Roundtable sessions at the discretion of the Program Committee.
- Roundtable Presentation: Roundtable sessions are designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among researchers by providing an opportunity to present and discuss research in progress. Each 1-hour session will feature four single presenters seated at a ‘round table’ allowing each individual 10 minutes to present the key issues and questions their work is addressing (40 minutes), followed by a 20-minute discussion among the roundtable audience facilitated by an experienced researcher who will be assigned to each table. Presenters can provide links to a written presentation should they wish. This Roundtable format is designed especially for early-stage research, such as thesis or grant proposals. Papers will be grouped into sessions according to common themes or ideas by Special Interest Group (SIG) Convenors. The standard length for Roundtables will be 1 hour with 4 papers. Please note, some individual paper submissions may be programmed to Roundtable sessions at the discretion of the Program Committee.
- Poster: Poster presentations offer a visual summary of research findings. They allow for direct interaction with conference attendees, who can ask questions and discuss the research with the poster author in a more informal setting. This format is especially useful for early-stage researchers or for presenting preliminary results. The program will include scheduled 60-minute poster sessions to promote interactive discussions of the research documented in the posters.
- Workshop – These sessions allow presenters to teach or demonstrate specific methodologies, tools, or concepts in an interactive environment. Workshops can be particularly effective for sharing practical skills or engaging in hands-on activities and can be scheduled for 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes.
- Other - A variety of formats is encouraged to enrich the conference program. There will be an opportunity in the abstract submission process to elaborate on the format of presentation. These can be scheduled for 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes.
